In 1996 the Gallery Graficki kolektiv and Quadra initiated Grifon – the first Yugoslav contest for the best graphic design in several contest categories.
Nowadays, Grifon represents a relevant biennale review of modern graphic design in Serbia, Republic of Srpska and Montenegro. The aim of the project is the promotion and evaluation of the most important creations of authors as well as the emphasis of applied graphic achievements in our contemporary society. With its actuallity, reputation and authority, the Grifon Award has become a powerful incentive for domestic authors and graphic industry.
Contest categories: typographic letter, books and other publications, advertising material and securities, visual identity, posters and announcements, packaging, film, video and TV-graphics, web-design.

1996 - Milos Ilic – Grifon Award for the book Marcel Duchamp
1998 - Vladan Srdic – Grifon Award for the theatre play poster Larry Thompson, Tragedy of a Youth
2000 - Borut Vild – Grifon Award for the catalogue of the Second Annual Exhibition of the Contemporary Art Centre
2002 - Goran Patlejh – Grifon Award for the book Dada Clipping, New Moment
2004 - Slavimir Stojanovic – Grifon Award for the Publikum’s calendar for 2004
2006 - Isidora Nikolic – Grifon Award for the book Invisible Cities
2008 - Igor Orsolic – Grifon Award for the film, video and TV graphics Yellow Cab
2010 - Format – Grifon Award for the publication, Ideology of design
2012. Jovana Budosan & Aleksandar Ilic – Grifon Award for the film, video and TV graphics Culture Folder
2014. Metaklinika - Grifon Award for the film, video and TV graphics Viral Campaign for Laser Summit
